Teething rings come in all shapes and sizes and give your baby something safe to chew on.  The chewing can often ease the pain as well as occupying your baby which may distract from their discomfort. Teethers can be hard or soft and some are fluid filled which makes them ideal for cooling in the fridge.

Many teething rings are designed to be cooled in the refrigerator. The cold is soothing on your baby’s gums as well as providing a slight numbing effect. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully and however tempting NEVER put a teething ring in the freezer as this could be very dangerous to your baby’s health.

Many teethers and teething rings are dishwasher safe but again follow the instructions.  Do not sterilize them using steam or by boiling them but instead use a cold water sterilizing solution.
